Steph's Studio Art is a hands-on mobile art studio that provides on-site art classes in Atlanta.
Learn techniques and concepts in a studio atmosphere while practicing and learning skills like painting, felting, candle making, dyeing fabric, printmaking, wreath making, etc., with an emphasis on environmental sustainability and learning a new useful 'maker' skill.
Enjoy an afternoon learning a new skill with like-minded people.
Our classes range from a fun time with friends to children's and senior classes. We also offer classes to those in hospitals, rehab centers, and to businesses as team building experiences!

Steph's Studio Art
STEPHANIE DESANTIS GRADUATED FROM GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 2012 WITH A BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS WHERE SHE STUDIED STUDIO ART AND CONCENTRATED IN TEXTILE DESIGN.
STEPHANIE STUDIED UNDER JUNCO POLLOCK AND learned WEAVING, SURFACE DESIGN, COLORS, DYES, AND DYEING, HEAT TRANSFER, SCULPTURE, AND PARTICIPATED IN DIRECTED STUDY COURSES ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY AND THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY.
SHE LEARNED TRADITIONAL TEXTILE TECHNIQUES THAT HAD BEEN LOST DUE TO THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AND MASS CONSUMERISM AND BECAME PASSIONATE ABOUT TEACHING THESE TECHNIQUES TO OTHERS.
IN 2015, SHE BEGAN TEACHING AT A PERMACULTURE INSPIRED PRESCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL. SHE TAUGHT homesteading, gardening, nutrition, and textile workshops AND contributed content to THE SCHOOL'S ANNUAL CURRICULUM THAT IS STILL USED TODAY. Stephanie also managed staff and student pictures and social media accounts for the school.
